Awesome Snow Day

Yep. It happened. It finally snowed a substantial amount here in Bellevue. After being gypped of a "ice day" last year, BSD realized their mistake and cancelled school. This is day two of snow related cancellations.

Keep in mind that it did not snow on day 1 of the snow break.

The name of the game was long exposure.. as I generally stuck to a ISO lower than 500.

Fail Pie

Pie is basically my favorite food. We decided to bake a pie, blueberry filling, so on Thanksgiving, I went to a friends house, and worked on it.

Since the recipe called for four hours time of letting the dough sit in the fridge, I thought that half an hour in the freezer was the equivalent of that. It also called for the use of forks to chop the butter into little morsels with the flour mixture so it would form correctly. She decided to use a food processor, and in the mixture went, resulting in a very coarse paste. Oh well.

After a while, our pie came out, scarred by the glass vessel I choose. My friend dubbed it Fail Pie.

An apparently tasty, totally uncracked cheesecake.

Fresh out of the oven...

Looks good, doesn't it.

My Bike Ride

Next week, prepare for more China Pictures. I swear. I also am starting a new post sequence: Things I found on the ground.

I, against all senses, decided to bike from my home to Bell Square, just for fun. While sick.
It was an interesting ride...
Images shot with Canon SX100 IS @ISO 400. Using it reminded me why I hate point-and-shoots so much.

Mercer Slough

The little Pedestrian foot bridge.

Detail? Not really.

Right after huge-ass-hill.

Nice looking building, ruined by my lack of desire to set up the Point and shoot.

At this point, I ejected some lunch, because I am sick.

About 2 blocks from the main "road" inside Bell Square.

Redesigned.

Stupid P-A-S. Probably operator error.
Stupid operator.

Funky Roof thing.

Swagger

That will be all.

On Town in Issaquah

In our quest to get images for our Insomnia story, we did a indoors photo shoot. Since the day was nice, we decided to go into downtown Issaquah, seeking more old skool scenes for use. Some images part of the story are not posted for...secrecy.

We went to the old train museum location to check out the caboose. I thought this light was pretty cool.

Nice
